
The Beijing Olympics has ended and left us in awe with its grand closing ceremonies that spoke of pageantry and awesomeness. The happiest must be Michael Phelps' mom as her son won not one but eight golds, a record-breaking feat in the history of swimming if I may add.
On the other hand, the gymnastics scandal has cast some serious doubts on China's integrity not only as an Olympic competitor but also as a nation. If this is true as reports suggest, I wonder what else China has lied us about in the past. I think this should serve as a reminder to us citizens of the world to always practice honesty and fairness in whatever stuff we do, from returning excess change to following traffic rules.
