Ciudad Nuevo in Naic, Cavite: Cheap Housing Units for All
One of my goals as the breadwinner in the family is to get a small house for us. I never dreamt of a big house for my family simply because in this time and age, the idea is both impractical and costly. Last year, that goal to have a house we can call our own was realized when I got a cheap housing unit at Ciudad Nuevo in Naic, Cavite through a housing loan from Pag-IBIG Fund payable within 15 years.
It’s just a small house, barely 40 sq.m. But I liked the concept and the overall design of the subdivision so I did not hesitate to get a unit (Executive loft). I also love the location because of its proximity to Metro Manila. Naic used to be a sleepy town near Manila Bay. Over the years, it has gradually developed into a bustling second class municipality complete with business establishments and small industries.
The developer of Ciudad Nuevo is First Advance Development Corporation (FADC).I believe they have big dreams for Naic as reflected in their master plan. Their housing units are especially designed for lower-income groups, with prices starting at P207,000. There are different unit designs to choose from:
1. Row house
2. Single-attached
3. Duplex
4. Econoloft
5. Executive Loft
My friends frequently ask me why I decided to buy a house in Cavite. The answer is simple– Cavite is my second home. Back in college, I lived in my uncle’s rented house in Bacoor and moved later with my family to their real house in Dasmariñas until I settled here in Manila. Cavite holds a special place in my heart. I made many friends there. Enough said.
Presently, Naic is approximately two-hour ride from Manila. However, once the Coastal Road Extension gets finished, travel time is seen to be cut in half. It won’t be that far by then.
Anyway, here are some photos I took when my agent toured us in Ciudad Nuevo:
The last time I inquired with FADC, they said the construction of the subdivision phase where my housing unit will be erected will start this September. I hope they follow their schedule. My mother is already flooding me with questions about the house. She kept asking every time we talk when our house will be ready for occupancy. You know how mothers can get overly excited. I would just tell her to wait and wait until the waiting is over. Lol. Kidding aside, I hope the answer is soon.

ok d2 s ciudad, almost 2 years n ako, problema ko lang, wala akong mapagtanungan kapag na dedelay ang hulog ko. paano b un? saan b ang pinakamalapit n office para malinawan ko ang tamang pagbabayaran ko? minsan kasi 4 months akong d nakabayad, then nagbayad ako ng pang 4 months which is 1,646/month. alam ko my penalty ako pero di ko nga alam kung saan ko dapat malaman ung ganyang bagay.

@anonymous: one time di dumating ang billing statement ko, ang ginawa ko tumawag ako sa opis nila sa baclaran (diplomat bldg.), sbi skin, may adjustment cla ginawa kya if pde dun me mismo mgbayad since late na nga pag sa SM bills payment. what i did was i went to their office and paid my monthly premium there. mas ok po pag ganun.mabababit naman ang mga tga First Advance, they usually asisst you and answer your queries, basta tawag lang po kayo.nagtetext din cla to remind us re: monthly payment.

From Baclaran, sakay kayo ng bus na byaheng Tanza/Naic/Ternate. Sabihin nyo sa konduktor ibaba kayo sa Hillsview. From there, may mga trycycles na magdadala sa inyo sa Ciudad Nuevo at P15 per passenger.
