Update: Read about my Make Your Own Havaianas 2008 experience here.

myoh

Yes, it's confirmed. I've just telephoned Havaianas Philippines a while ago. There will be a Make Your Own Havaianas Event at SM City Cebu on 19 to 22 September 2008 at regular mall hours. Edwin wasn't joking on me when he told me about it. Now that's another good reason for me to look forward to my Cebu trip this Friday.

Apparently, Make Your Own Havaianas is an annual event. The Make Your Own Havaianas 2008 was already held early this year in Rockwell Tent, Makati City but for some reason, there will be a repeat of sorts in Cebu this weekend. Interested parties will get a chance to personalize their Havaianas flip flops as they will be the ones to choose the soles, straps, designs and other embellishments needed by the Havaianas people to assemble them on the spot. From what I read online, the last Make Your Own Havaianas Event at Rockwell was a success and people had a great time.

To tell your frankly, I'm not a big fan of Havaianas. I'm more of a Dupe girl. But my beautiful pair of Dupe flip-flops broke down a month ago and I've yet to get a replacement. The last time we talked, Edwin offered to sponsor my Havaianas experience in Cebu. He was so insistent and said it will be her welcome gift to me. How generous is that?

If you collect Havaianas flip flops or simply want to have a pair and you happen to be in Cebu this weekend, you might want to check this event out. Who knows we'll bump into each other? Just don't make the bumping s0 hard. Lol. :)

I still can't believe that thiese slippers cost a thousand peso or more! Geez...

Although I have a pair, hindi ko binili yun, bigay lang sa akin kasi if I had the money I would never buy a pair coz its too freakin' expensive for step-ins.

Our feet needs a lot of loving too... if you know what I mean -hahaha- I love havaianas! They just feel good when you walk in them.

@raqgold: ako rin, nung bata pa ako.hehe.yep, it sounds fun. :)

@lionheart: hehe.wish lang natin! :)

@jowell: you have a point there, hehe. for most girls, however, vanity comes with a price. what's good with havaianas is that, aside from being trendy, it's also very functional and comfortable. but as i said, i am more of a Dupe girl, but then i think there's no harm in trying havaianas this time. :)

@jetty: i can't agree more! you're so right. :)

Lol.

I like flip flops. Not of the slippers per se, but because of the beautiful feet that wear them.

:)
