October 1 is a Holiday in the Philippines
By edelweiz on 30th September, 2008
Yes, but this year only. The month of Ramadan ends tomorrow in a celebration called Eid’l Fitr and the Philippine government thought of paying respect to our Muslim brothers by declaring October 1 as a regular holiday through Proclamation No. 1625 dated 19 September 2008. For non-Muslims like me, this is a perfect time to get some rest or do backlog work. If you wanna get a copy, you can view and save it from here.
Have a great day, people!
