PAGCOR-Parañaque served as the host that night. Ms. Janette Toral, the ever-smiling lady that founded the club, prepared a short program where she gave brief lectures about blogging as well as overviews and updates about the growing blogging community. The Philippines' Top 100 Blogs for 2008 were also revealed and the bloggers who made it to the elite list and were present that night were given the chance to talk and share their blogging secrets, of which I learned a lot.
It was a cool experience to have met new faces, mostly bloggers I know online but never really got around to knowing offline until that night. Also, seeing familiar faces like Jehzeel, Edward, Mica, Sexy Mom (thanks again for the belated birthday greetings!) made me feel at home.
Anyway, here are some snapshots of the event:

PAGCOR-Parañaque is one of the corporate members of the Digital Filipino Club along with a dozen other companies. That night, PAGCOR shared with the bloggers its upcoming project -- Bagong Nayong Pilipino Entertainment City to be erected on a reclaimed land along Manila Bay. It's a huge leisure and gaming complex that will house hotels, posh shops, restaurants and of course, casinos. The highlight of the project is the ambitious PAGCOR Tower which is geared to be the tallest tower in the world at 655 m. (2,149 ft.) high.
Aside from the sumptuous dinner and the raffle, PAGCOR-Parañaque were gracious enough to provide the bloggers with shuttle service to and from the venue. We got into the shuttle on our way to the venue but decided to just hail a cab on our way home.
Carmela and I won casino coupons in the raffle which we used to play in the casino downstairs.

Edwin and Nice shelled out some bucks to play, though. We never thought we'd win. Must be beginner's luck. Lol.
Many thanks to Ms. Janette Toral for the opportunity to network with Manila bloggers and have fun at the same time. More power to the Digital Filipino Club and see you around. :)
