What Really is a Bloggista?

“A bloggista* refers to anyone who writes his ideas and opinions on any topic and publishes them through an online journal called blog. It is actually a counterpart of the term ‘blogger’ in English. A bloggista may be amateur or professional as blogging is now utilized to make money online.”

Example in a sentence:

I’m a bloggista and proud of it.

*The term “bloggista” originated in the Philippines. The root word is blog (short for web log) and the gista comes from ista which is a street-smart suffix usually added by Filipinos to various objects and entities to refer to the person or group that represent or use them. Examples of usage include gitara-gitarista (guitar-guitarist), rak-rakista (rock-rocker) komento-komentarista (comment-commentator) and fashion-fashionista (fashion-fashion icon), among others.
