Declared Holidays in the Philippines for 2009

Just for public knowledge, Malacañang has already announced, through Proclamation no. 1699 signed by PGMA yesterday, the holidays for 2009. Get the complete list after the jump…
REGULAR HOLIDAYS
April 6 – Araw ng Kagitingan
April 9 – Maundy Thursday
April 10 – Good Friday
May 1 – Labor Day
June 12 – Independence Day
August 31 – National Heroes Day
November 30 – Bonifacio Day
December 30 – Rizal Day
SPECIAL WORKING HOLIDAYS
August 21 – Ninoy Aquino Day
November 1 – All Saints Day
December 31 – New Year’s Eve
November 2 and December 24 – additional special non-working holidays for All Saints Day and Christmas Day, respectively
Eid’l Fitr Celebration (End of Ramadan) – to be announced soon as it will be based from the Islamic calendar
Obviously, there are less holidays this year than last year. Anyway, I hope that helps you plan ahead how you’d want to spend your 2009.
