Concept Fans for Your Home
By edelweiz on 26th September, 2009
I have a thing for ceiling fans. I love looking up and watching the fan moves in a circular motion. At the fine dining resto where I work part-time, we have this patio where we receive the guests and treat them to complimentary iced tea and pica-pica. This is the first stop before we usher them into the house for a short tour and finally, to the dining room for the pre-booked lunch or dinner. The patio is an open-air area but has several ceiling fans for better ventilation, especially during summer when the temperature goes anywhere from 30 to 38 degree Celsius. When there are too many guests, the patio gets crowded and hot so I’d discreetly stay under the biggest ceiling fan to keep myself well-ventilated.
I easily get cold inside air-conditioned rooms. That’s why I’d prefer a ceiling fan over an air-conditioner any day. The cool air it produces is just enough to make me feel well-ventilated. Ceiling fans are also more convenient to use than electric fans as you don’t have to adjust their position every time. You just have to install them on the ceiling and they’re good to go.

I am really fascinated with ceiling fans. I have seen a lot of ceiling fan designs in magazines and on the web. I am particularly drawn to concept fans because of their unique styles, from classic and modern to contemporary and futuristic. Just like a Minka Aire Concept II fan which I found online while blog hopping. It stands out from the rest of its kind because of its design, function and form. It is especially designed for big rooms so one could save more energy and money using it.
