Update: Typhoon Ondoy leaves 52 people dead in the Philippines as of September 29, 2009. ~NDCC
Typhoon Ondoy (international codename Ketsana) has just made everyone in Metro Manila worried. Who wouldn't if homes got flooded and major roads became impassable? Our house hasn't been spared. It's still raining like crazy as I'm typing this post and there are already more than 100 displaced families all over Metro Manila. Now I wonder when this typhoon will go out of the Philippines. Our country is in big trouble. Just look at the photos I took of my neighborhood in San Miguel, Manila a few hours ago:

Arlegui St. at 12:22 p.m. today

child swimming in the flood on Arlegui St., just in front of PMS Bldg.

people traverse the flooded street of Arlegui, on the background is one of the buildings of La Consolacion College

students from nearby universities passing through Arlegui St.

Aguado St. at 12:25 p.m. today
At this point, people are fearing the overflow of the Pasig River and the Marikina River as it would surely result to heavier flooding in Metro Manila and nearby provinces. Let us all pray so we get spared from further damages caused by Typhoon Ondoy.
