We had a big group (around 40 guests) at La Cocina de Tita Moning last night and the host was very generous to leave us a P25,000 tip (almost $540 USD). If only all hosts were like that, we would be rich fast. But I digress. I am talking about the act of giving here. Mr. DB was really generous. In fact, he heads an organization that protects children and women against domestic violence. Devoting your time and resources to such a good cause is very laudable.

I went home last night with my share of the generous tip along with my payment as tour guide. The amount I got was more than the P3,000 I gave to my younger sister yesterday as she will be attending a Girls Scout camping tomorrow, October 23. The money I gave was returned to me on the same day. I worked hard for it, yes, but I didn't expect it will be returned to me that quick. Thank God.

In my life as a breadwinner, I have realized that giving is actually receiving. The more you give to your family, the more you receive. And the same law applies when you give to other people which are not related to you in anyway. Helping those in need is difficult only if you have nothing to give. But if you have the means to help, always do the right thing: give and share your blessings. And these will be returned to you a hundredfolds.
