Motorcycle accidents happen almost everyday in Metro Manila roads, yet many people still ride on motorcycles, myself included. A few hours ago, Edwin witnessed a motorcyle accident in front of Chowking-Nagtahan, a few steps away from the Rotonda. A taxi bumped the tail end of a motorcycle causing it to get out of balance and eventually fall to the ground.

There were two people on the motorcycle, a boy and a girl (probably a couple). While the driver wasn't hurt, his passenger's leg was injured. Apparently, when the motorcycle was about to bend and fall, she instinctively stepped her right foot on the ground. Her leg tried to support the weight of the bending motorcycle and so her leg suffered. She couldn't get up and they had to put a splint on her leg for her to be able to move and stand up.
Good thing that's all there was. The accident could've been worse. If you're riding on a motorcycle like me, always take precautionary measures. Never go out without a full-faced helmet and always follow traffic rules. Tell your driver, if you're the passenger, to be defensive when driving and keep the eyes on the road at all times. (Presence of mind is very, very important.) And of course, don't forget to pray because it's only the One up there that can guarantee our safety anywhere we are and whatever we do.
