After visiting a cemetery in Bacoor, Cavite where I got connected to a free wifi to my utter delight, we went to SM Manila and did some shopping. We had a snack of pita sandwiches from Plato Wraps and went to KFC for dinner. I was able to get a few pairs of sandals for myself. All of them were on sale. It was only later that I realized the mall is having a pre-holiday sale that's up until tomorrow. On our way out of the building, I chanced upon a Nokia drop box collecting old phones, chargers and accessories for recycling. Cool.

What's good in this initiative is that for every kilo of old phone items, Nokia donates a certain amount (I guess) for the rehabilitation of the La Mesa Watershed, the main source of potable water for Metro Manila residents. I liked the idea. I thought it was great our trash gets to help preserve the environment and sustain life in this crowded city we call home.

If you have old phones, charger and accessories that are in dire need of disposal, never just throw them away and instead, go to your nearest SM mall and drop them off Nokia's boxes.
