I Love Makati Video Contest

Last night, Edwin and I went to Makati to get the results of her mom’s lab tests from the Makati Medical Center. We rode in his motorcycle and braved the major roads, armed only with full face helmets, nylon jackets and lots of prayers. We got stuck in traffic along San Marcelino Street. Apparently, an event was ongoing at the nearby Bonifacio Shrine. It was about the announcement of the Aquino-Roxas partnership in the 2010 Presidential Elections.

When we reached Makati, it was like we were transformed to a different place. The beautiful chaos of Makati at night, with its well-lighted skyscrapers and the hustling sound of vehicles and people on the go, created a somewhat festive atmosphere that lifted up our traffic-exhausted spirits. I so love Makati.

Speaking of Makati, there’s this interesting video contest I saw online that aims to celebrate life in the premier business district of the Philippines. It’s dubbed as “I Love Makati Vdieo Contest.” I read the mechanics and it looked pretty easy to join. You just have to create a short video (no less than 30 seconds) that best describes why you love the city. Total prizes at stake amount to a whopping P100,000. Plus, you get a chance to win a 2-night weekend stay at Jupiter Suites Budget Hotel in Makati. The contest is sponsored by Budget Travels Philippines along with several partners.

I feel like joining! How about you? :)
