My Parents’ House, Our Home: A Dream Come True

For a Filipino family like ours, having a house is a must. It forms a big part of the family’s goals. As much as possible, we don’t want to rent a house for a long time. We work hard to be able to afford buying our own house which we can call our home.

Edwin and I just came from Naic to check the small house I bought there. It’s under Pag-IBIG financing. I was surprised that the house is almost complete. Oh how time flies. I just realized I’ve been paying for it for two years already.

My mom was ecstatic when I shared the good news with her. She said it’s a dream come true for her, and for our family in general. I’m glad I pushed thru with this one. I remember I was hesistant at first because then I didn’t think I could afford the monthly amortization. It’s just a small amount but as you know, I’m the breadwinner in the family and I have many expenses to deal with on a monthly basis.

But God is good. He gave me the willpower to just go for it. I entrusted everything to Him. And I’m just too happy He never let me down, financially speaking. :)
