On Motivation, Life’s Choices and Stock Markets

I’m just so happy right now because in His own mysterious ways, God is making me feel secure. For one, aside from the physical support that my family and friends are giving me, they are also showering me with kind and inspiring words. It somehow lightens up my present burden and lifts my spirit. Also, the monetary blessings that are continuously coming my way are delighting me immensely. I dunno if it’s just my getting more motivated in looking for new sources of income that opens up more and more working opportunities for me (law of attraction) or I’m just getting lucky. No matter what it is, I’m thankful.

I went home early today because I had work in the restaurant. Our guests were a group of doctors and med reps and they were very appreciative of our offerings, from the guided tour to the overall dining experience itself. I remember talking to one of the organizers at the end of the dinner and he told me he was once a broker. He said he used to be abreast of the developments in the stock market and he made big money from it. But soon he got bored and so he switched to a different job. Now he’s an event organizer. It made me wonder why he left his previous job which earned him a lot of money. If I were him, I would’ve stuck to it till the very end. I may not be interested in stocks and I don’t think I could learn to analyze the AIM and Plus markets but for sure, I’d get the hang of it. But then, perhaps he has his own valid reasons. It could be that he was no longer feeling competitive in buying and selling stocks or he just wasn’t happy anymore with the job. Oh, the choices people make.
