Our next home improvement project is a custom-made cabinet with shelves. It’s for our TV set and other items for display in the living room. I have already talked to our home improvement ‘partner,’ the same person who did our tiles. I learned he’s an all-around guy and we couldn’t be happier. We still have a lot of things that need to get done at home. We’ll do it one project at a time, provided I’ll have the needed resources to finance it.

I have already drawn the design of our custom-made cabinet and our home improvement partner gave me a cost estimate. I find the price cheap and just a bit higher than the cabinets sold at SM. Custom-made cabinets are known to last longer so I’m investing in one for our Cavite home. What I also like about these cabinets is the fact that I can bring my own design to life. I’m still thinking about the paint color to use, though. I heard there are paints that resemble the appearance of real wood when applied. I want something like that.

Gosh, I can’t wait to have our living room cabinet made!
